How can I pay for my purchase?
Purchases of our products can be paid by credit card (VISA, American Express, Mastercard, Diners) or by a direct bank wire transfer. Payment by PayPal is not available at this time.
Are volume discounts available for license purchasing?
Volume discounts will be applicable when purchasing 10 licenses or more, according to company policy. The volume discount is reflected automatically in our secure online order form. For a price quote, please contact our Sales team at sales@taosdc.com.
Are there special discounts for software distributors?
Our Business Partners and distributors of our software receive an additional discount for purchasing large volumes of licenses for our software. To register as a Business Partner, please contact our Sales team at sales@taosdc.com.
I have a coupon code for your software. How can I receive the discount when purchasing?
You can enter a valid coupon code in the appropriate field at the top of our secure online order form. The appropriate discount will be calculated into your pricing.
Will VAT/sales tax be added to the pricing?
VAT or sales tax is added to the pricing only when purchasing our products from Israel. For more details, please contact our Sales team at sales@taosdc.com.
Will I receive an invoice for my purchase?
Commercial invoices are sent to you as a PDF document by email after the payment for your purchase has been processed. If you have purchased our products but have not received your invoice, please contact our Sales team at sales@taosdc.com.
Do you have a “Money Back” guarantee?
Tao provides refunds for purchases during 14 days after the purchase was made. To receive a refund for your purchase, you need to provide a removal code which is displayed at the end of the uninstall procedure of our software. A refund will not be provided without the removal code. A processing fee of up to 10% of your purchase amount may be deducted from the refund, depending on your payment method. To receive a refund for your purchase, please contact our Sales team at sales@taosdc.com with a valid removal code. You will be contacted up to 7 days after the refund request has been received by our Sales team.
I have made a purchase. When will I receive the license details for my installation?
While it may take up to 48 hours to process your order, most orders are processed during 2-3 hours after the purchase was made. After purchasing, you should receive an automatic email confirmation of your order. If you have not received the email confirmation, please check your email accounts filters and folders. If you have any issues with our order form, please contact our Sales team at sales@taosdc.com.
The software is requesting a payment code. What do I do? (This does NOT apply to purchases paid by a credit card)
Tao software may request a payment code after a set amount of time if you have purchased a license and installed it before the final payment for the purchase has been completed. The payment code is sent automatically to your email address after the final payment has been received. If you have not received the payment code, please check your email accounts filters and folders, or contact our Sales team at sales@taosdc.com.
How do you handle licensing on Windows Terminal Servers?
Tao software is available for installation on Windows Terminal Server for Remote Desktop connections. The number of "concurrent users" who are able to work on the Terminal Server at the same time is the number of licenses purchased for the Terminal Server installation. If one user closes the software, another user will be able to run the software. If a user tries to run the software after the number of "concurrent users" has been reached, an error message will be displayed to the user. It is possible to add additional "concurrent user licenses" to an existing Terminal Server installation by purchasing additional licenses. Pricing for "concurrent user licenses" is identical to regular, stand-alone licenses.
How long is my license valid for?
The license for Tao products is valid for lifetime. You can install the license for the version you have purchased at any time in the future assuming your computer’s hardware and operating system are supported by the version of Tao ExDOS you have.
For how long will I receive support and software upgrades?
With your initial purchase of Tao products you are provided with one year of free software upgrades and support for each license. The service agreement for you product can be renewed after the initial one year service agreement has ended. For pricing, please see our secure online order form.
What does the one year service agreement includes?
The one year service agreement for Tao products includes one year of free software upgrades and technical support provided by our expert team.
My one year service agreement has ended. What happens now?
Tao products continue working after the service agreement has ended. You can reinstall the software at any time after the service agreement has ended. The version you will receive for installation will be the most recent version available before the end of your service agreement. Technical support for our products will not be provided without an active service agreement.
Can I move my installed license to another computer?
Tao product licenses can be moved to a different computer at any time in the future. Moving a license to another computer requires an uninstall procedure of the software from the computer where it was originally installed. After the uninstall procedure, a removal code for the license will be displayed. To move the software to a different computer, please contact our Support team at support@taosdc.com with a valid removal code. Your request may take up to 48 hours to process. After the request has been processed and you have been notified, you will be able to install the license on a new computer using the same license key provided on purchase.
Can I upgrade my license to a different version?
Tao products of the same family can be upgraded to a more advanced version according to your needs. The pricing for the upgrade is available by contacting our Sales team at sales@taosdc.com. The upgrade pricing is provided for licenses with valid service agreement contract. If the license does not have a valid service agreement contract, the pricing will include a renewal of the service agreement. After purchasing an upgrade, new license details will be sent to your email for installation of the new version. More info.

I have Windows 7 64-bit installed. How can I work with Tao software?
Tao ExDOS products work seamlessly on Windows 7 64-bit versions by using the integrated Virtual PC Windows XP Mode, which is available as a free download from Microsoft. For more information and complete installation instructions, please see our Knowledge Base article KB10004.
I have Windows 7 64-bit Home/Starter version, thus I cannot install Virtual XP Mode. What are my options?
Microsoft provides free installation of the Virtual XP Mode virtual machine for Windows 7 only in its Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate versions. If you have the Home or Starter version of Windows 7, Virtual XP Mode can not be installed. To work with Tao products on your Windows 7 64-bit installation, you will need to upgrade the Windows 7 version to Professional or above versions. The other option would be to reinstall Windows 7 in a 32-bit version, in which case Tao products can be installed directly on Windows 7, without the need for Virtual XP Mode.
How do I transfer settings from one computer to another?
The Tao ExDOS shortcuts for your DOS applications can be copied from one computer to another. To do so, simply copy the following directory from the original computer to the same location in the new computer:
On Windows 8/7: c:\ProgramData\Tao\*.*
On Windows XP: c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Tao\*.*
Please note that you will need Administrative rights on both computers to copy the settings directory.
After copying the directory, simply run Tao ExDOS from the Desktop. All the shortcuts should now be available in the new installation.
I am receiving error 20210. What should I do?
Error 20210 in Tao ExDOS software happens when the software can not identify the Network Adapter installed in your computer.
If you receive error 20210 while trying to run Tao ExDOS software, please check if your Network Adapter is installed and enabled in the Windows Device Manager.
If the network adapter or the motherboard installed in your computer have been replaced, please contact our Support Team for further instructions.
I can not find the feature I need in the software. Can you develop it for me?
Since launching our support platform for DOS applications 10 years ago, we have been paying close attention to the needs of our customers, adding new features to our software as required. If our software does not meet the specific needs of your organization, please contact our Support Team, and we might be able to add the features you need to our software.
