Using Tao ExDOS on Windows 11 (Or newer) 64Bit, with Windows 10 32Bit

Tao ExDOS and your DOS software run on 32 Bit operating systems only. The last version supported by Tao ExDOS is Windows 10 32Bit. Windows 11 is the first operating system that is 64Bit only.

To use Tao ExDOS with your DOS software on the latest 64Bit host computer you will need to setup a Virtual Machine. These are the steps you can try before contacting our Support Team:

1. Installing a Virtual Machine:
By using software tools such as Hyper-V(built in Windows Pro, not Home) and VMWare, you can install Windows 10 32Bit on a virtual machine running on your 64Bit computer.

This step should be performed by a computer technician or by consulting professional literature. We offer remote installation of a virtual machine by our tech support, contact us for more information.

2. Copy your DOS Software and Tao ExDOS setup file to the new Virtual Machine.

3. Install Tao ExDOS on the Virtual Machine operating system.

4. Create a shortcut and run your DOS software.
